高等専門学校の本科を卒業した者には、準学士の称号が付与されます。
高等専門学校の本科卒業後に、専攻科又は大学の科目等履修生等として所定の単位を修得した上で、大学改革支援・学位授与機構へ申請し、審査に合格した場合には、学校教育法に基づき、同機構から学士の学位が授与される制度があります。
本校の専攻科は、大学改革支援・学位授与機構から特例適用専攻科※として認められているため、本校の専攻科において所定の学修を修了した者は、同機構へ申請することで、学士の学位を取得することができます。
※「特例適用専攻科」とは、大学改革支援・学位授与機構が、大学の学士課程に相当する教育を行う専攻科として認定したものです。通常は、学生が個別に学位授与申請を行い、審査及び試験に合格する必要がありますが、「特例適用専攻科」では、学校が修了予定者の申請を一括して行い、専攻科での学修成果を基に審査が行われるため、より円滑に学位授与申請を行うことができます。
Graduates of the regular five-year program at a College of Technology (KOSEN) are awarded the title of Associate, which is a qualification conferred upon completion of KOSEN education.
Under the School Education Act of Japan, graduates of a College of Technology (KOSEN) may obtain a Bachelor’s degree by completing the required credits in an advanced course at a KOSEN, by taking courses as a non-degree student at a university, or through other approved study programs, and then applying to the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE). If they successfully pass the assessment conducted by NIAD-QE, they may be awarded a Bachelor’s degree by NIAD-QE.
